Reason for objection:

Objection These properties have a long & chequered planning history. They are now shrouded in scaffolding with both builders & materials on site. Furthermore the bridge between #4-6 & #8 has already been removed - without permission. Although the applicant argues that the proposed works would produce a total of 24 beds vs 19 when the HMO was previously inhabited, there is no provision for affordable housing allegedly on grounds of financial unviability. We find this unconvincing. In addition, we do not approve of the proposed extended front garden wall to #8; it is incongruous in appearance & would detract from the character of the property & street scene.
