Reason for objection:

Objection.

There is too much fascia signage proposed & in cheap acrylic material which is non-compliant with the LPA’s guidance on development in CAs & not in keeping with the character & appearance of the CA. Also, the proposed projecting sign is of poor quality with use of vinyl lettering - rather this should preferably comprise traditional hand painted sign writing or at least individually cut powder coated aluminium lettering. In addition, we do not approve of the proposed vinyl advertisements in the shop windows due to their large scale & incongruous appearance. They should be removed.

Furthermore, we need more information on the design and appearance of the following elements:
New shopfront glazing
New automatic sliding doors and side panels
Redecoration of shopfront surrounds
New metal fascia panels (within existing surrounds)
