Reason for objection:
Objection. The yew trees in question are mature & healthy specimens, at least one of which can be clearly seen from & is a positive contributor to the public realm within the CA. We note the applicant’s mitigation plan to replant the rear garden, but with juvenile, container items which, in our opinion, would be completely insufficient to mitigate the loss of the existing mature yews. Yews are slow growing and extremely long-lived. Juvenile trees are no replacement for trees with any maturity. The TPOs should remain in force.
