Description of proposed works:

Application for a Non-Material Amendment to Planning Permission ref: 21/03939/FUL (Refurbishment, restoration and extension of the County Hall (Grade II*) to provide flexible commercial use (class E) and residential use (class C3), demolition of The Canteen Building and The Computer Wing Building, erection of replacement buildings of between 2 and 6 storeys for residential use (class C3), alterations to the existing boundary including Nos. 5 & 7 Milner Road, new means of access, associated public realm and landscaping, highway works, car and cycle parking and all ancillary and associated work. This application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. (Amended Description, Amended Plans and Additional Information Received)). Amendment to reduce carbon offset amount, move the refuse store for Building A1/A2, redistribute the cycle parking with a new cycle store for Building A1, landscaping and drainage changes.

Reason:

No objection.

This NMA comes from the new developer (London Square) of SCH & relates back to 21/03970 & 21/03939 both of which we objected to but were recommended by officers & approved by members. We agree the NMA is minor in nature & concerns: a) slight improvement to carbon offset from deployment of heat pumps; b) more efficient refuse arrangements; c) wider distribution of cycle parking; & d) marginal changes to landscaping & drainage.
