5. No comment/neutral
6. Lack of detail
7. Decision already issued

Reason for objection:

  1. Removal of rear chimney. We object to the removal of the rear chimney due to its prominence and significance on this property. Chimneys are a characteristic feature on properties in Southborough.
  2. Bi-fold doors. The proposed scale of the rear bi-fold doors does not match the proportions of the adjacent existing double doors. They should have glazing bars to make the proportions more in-keeping with the existing doors.
  3. Insufficient information. No 'Application for Planning Permission' was provided in our pack so we are unable to consider whether the materials are appropriate for the Conservation Area. We would expect that the velux windows in the front elevation will be of Conservation grade.
  4. The rear dormer. We consider the total size of the rear dormer is excessively large and would prefer it to be reduced slightly and retain the line of the existing hip.

In conclusion we feel the proposed alterations to the property will not enhance the existing building.
