Reason for objection:

Objection. Height & set back of new piggy back roof appears compliant with policy but it would be visible from the street scene. In fact it would be the first such roof extension on this street. #24 has had its roof extended - regrettably - but it is not a piggy back construction. #35 was refused a similar application some years ago. The increased bulk of #18 would be significant & dominate its neighbours. In addition, new roof lights not specified as conservation grade - they must be; new brickwork not specified as matching existing - it should be; & new aluminium framed fenestration to side elevation should not be visible from the public realm - it would be. The applicant did not approach the CAAC at the pre-app stage.
