Reason for objection:

Objection. This PA makes no sense. It appears to be identical to its predecessor, 26/00033, which we objected to & was refused by officers - specifically the traffic officer for encroachment on the existing public parking space outside the property & the tree officer for risk to the root pit of the protected tree adjacent to the property. All the pavements & crossovers in Albany Park Road have just been renewed by the Council. The applicant’s DAS states there will be no change to the crossover but this is contradicted by both the application & accompanying drawings, which say/ show the vehicular access will be increased (ca 0.5-1.0m) by moving the left hand entrance pier, which would then reach beyond the crossover. In addition, we do not care for references in the DAS to ‘mimicking’ the brickwork of the existing garden wall - a feature of townscape merit recognised in the CA Designation Report. Any changes to this wall must faithfully match the original, including recycling of original materials wherever possible.
