Reason for objection:
Objection. West/ front elevation signage is acceptable in scale but it should not be internally illuminated; discreet halo or trough lighting should be utilised instead. We also object to the use of acrylic materials - higher quality, more traditional finishes are preferred. These changes are necessary in order to comply with the applicant’s own published policy. The central logo sign in cheap vinyl is also objectionable in the context of this new landmark & the adjacent grade 2 listed buildings; if it is to remain, then it must be fabricated of better quality materials & sit proud on risers. The vertical signage on the flanks of the building is satisfactory.
