Reason for objection:
Objection. This is a grade 2 listed building in a highly sensitive historic setting. Any new signage must respect this context. Unfortunately, these proposals do not. In particular: the internal illuminations to the fabricated lettering on the fascia should be removed - fascia signage cannot be internally lit (RBK CAGG refers); the vinyl lettering on the fascia should be removed & replaced with something of better quality eg traditional sign writing; the tooth icons & their golden colour palette are incongruous & would cause harm to the character & appearance of the historic building - they must be less intrusive/ more neutral in design; & the projecting sign should be of more traditional construction (not plastic) & not internally lit (RBK CAGG refers).
