Reason for objection:

Objection. It appears incorrect to say the proposal will 'restore symmetry' as stated in the DAS. 1 and 1A was a school house, and as far as we know, the current front elevation is the original design. The architects drawings of the front facade are grossly inaccurate, namely the first floor bedroom windows. Because of this, it is not possible to understand how the new insertions relate to the existing. E.g. the new front door is shown centrally beneath a presumably retained existing 1st floor window. As these are drawn incorrectly, it is impossible to assess. The proposal lacks depth of methodology. The applicants need to show accurate and detailed drawings of what will be removed, what will be retained, and how they plan to stitch the new brickwork back to the old to the front and side facades.
They must use reclaimed London Stock, not new.
There is a magnificent local landmark magnolia tree in the front garden.
The tree sits in a raised bed, although not subject to a TPO, it does require expert input and a detailed management report.
