Reason for objection:
SCAAC view the proposed development as a significant visual improvement on the existing property. The revised design has disguised the semi-detached dwelling as a detached property and the proposal is in keeping with the street scene and the conservation area. We are pleased to see that ASHPs have been added but note that it is not clear whether or not solar panels will be used (there is a conflict in the documents). We would like to see the fireplace, chimney and gas supply removed from this property to reduce CO2 emissions. The proposed elevations show no solar panels - all front, rear and south-facing side roofs should be optimised to maximise the number of solar panels. These panels should be in-roof
to improve the roof aesthetic. Ideally solar panels would also be installed on the flat roof
