Reason for objection:
Objection. This PA has been presented in the context of & its subservience to the adjacent Middle Mill Halls development. We objected to that development & it was refused by Planning Committee. It is therefore irrelevant to this PA which consequentially has been rendered a white elephant. In isolation we object to its blocky silhouette, bulk & bland design in what is a sensitive riverside setting characterised by predominantly low-rise housing, especially to the east. No attempt has been made by the applicant to link incremental footfall to existing bridges over the Hogsmill & extensive footpath network, only Horace Road. Furthermore, part one of the applicant’s DAS appears to be missing.
