Reason for objection:

Objection. We are opposed to the applicant’s proposal to alter the existing picture window of this shop by blocking-in part of the original shop frontage. To do so would cause harm to the character & appearance of the property & its neighbours - an attractive parade of small commercial units. We are also opposed to the applicant’s intention to replace the existing traditional hand-painted fascia signage with an incongruous manufactured solution. Furthermore, this PA references the replacement of UPVC fenestration/ doors like for like. But the existing items (at least on the front elevation of the property) are traditional timber & should be retained/ replaced like for like.
