Reason for objection:

SCAAC notes that the window detailed drawings should include the overall window frame, the opening method (casement, sash, fixed), the glazing bar pattern, the bar profile and the depth and relationship between frame, reveal, sill, lintel, etc. It is noted on the Committee Report that was made at the time of planning approval that Proposed fenestration especially to the front elevation should emphasize strong vertical proportions with the use of glazing bars. It is important that planners ensure that windows are in accordance with this requirement as glazing bars subdividing windows are part of the character of most houses in Southborough. In general, windows on Southborough are also white framed, not grey as shown in these details.
